Rich People

Why are we so obsessed with rich people? What happened to the days when we all wanted to be rich? When did it become a crime to make money in the U.S.A.?

I do not understand why we are demonizing the rich. Aren't they the ones who provide jobs? Even if not directly, then indirectly. They go out to eat (employs food service workers), go shopping even when the rest of us can't. They buy new cars, I'm sure there are a few car salesmen out there who are thankful for that. They buy boats, they travel, you get the picture. Even if you are a government employee you can thank a rich person for your job. That's right, they have the highest burden of taxes, which is used to pay for all of those government employees. So I say the more rich people we have the merrier! In fact let them keep more of their money so they can keep putting it back into the economy and employ the rest of us. Sorry government workers....

The best answer for question number two, let's get back to those days. The more rich people we have, the more producers we have, the more people paying into the coffers. This sounds like a win-win to me. This is what we all should be striving for, it is what all used to strive for. It is what defined the American way. Just because you were born poor, you did not have to stay there. You could always move up, in fact we all dreamed of moving up!

With all of that said it should not be a crime to be rich or be a producer in the U.S.A. Who would have thought people in the U.S. would be on unemployment for 99 weeks. This is inconceivable to me. No disrespect for those who have lost their jobs, but this is the United States of America. We do NOT sit around on our duffs and wait for government hand outs. We do NOT take money from others who are working hard (sometimes 2 jobs). On a side note collecting unemployment IS taking money from others. That's right that single mother out their working to put food on the table for her children, you are taking money from her. We work, whether it is cleaning houses, cutting yards, doing handyman work, baby sitting, house sitting, pet sitting. Basically we do what we can to make it through until we get that job. This is called making money, the American way! You want hand outs from government move to Europe, it seems to be working out well for them. Me I'm going to keep striving to become one of those rich people. It beats waiting around for someone else to take care of you.
